December 3, 2008 – Taking a closer look at the luxury market, one quickly realizes the role shoes and accessories play - often accounting for a greater percentage of net sales than the collection itself. Surprised? It does make good economic sense to invest in a pair of pumps than a jacket that will go out of style before you had the opportunity to wear it.That being said, I fell in love with this sirène blue quilted purse (as modeled by Shelby Coleman) - arguably my favorite piece in the collection - while working at the Chanel Cruise 2008 show. This piece can look equally good lounging by the pool as it can during the holidays because of its frosty finish… A beautiful transition piece from resort to winter.
